Remember when the saxophone was taboo in pop music, well this damned punk-funk clatter has already put it back on the map. Having said that, Blurt are a damn fine band, not to be missed or to be confused with Blur (like some hapless promoter did). Ted Milton (frontman and saxophonist) chides his drummer and guitarist with ease before unleashing howls and hooks from his horn and ominous tirades from his lips.
Est-ce que vous vous rappelez bien quand le saxophone était un « Big No-No » en dehors du jazz ? Blurt (rien à voir avec Blur) nous montre que les tabous ne sont que des conneries. Ted Milton et ses acolytes sont les David Lynch du mutant-funk avec ce live rare venu du « Dark-side of funk ».
